EMERENTIENNE BRISEUL:
KINESIOLOGIST IN LUXEMBOURG
WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?
Kinesiology is a global human approach which is the result of the convergence between:
-
western physiology
-
traditional Chinese energetics
-
and the recent discoveries in neuroscience.
Kinesiology is a comprehensive approach covering several disciplines, which have muscle testing in common.
The purpose of which is to support everyone in achieving a better mental, emotional, physical and energetic balance.
How?
Kinesiology gives the keys to the person to move forward and change by helping to identify the cause(s) of his/her difficulties, which are sources of physical and / or psychic tensions, and then by releasing the weight of the emotional charges associated with appropriate balances.

DISCOVERING KINESIOLOGY
Dr. Goodheart, a chiropractor, developed a system called "Applied Kinesiology" from the discoveries of the Western medicine and the principles of traditional Chinese medicine in the 60s in the United States. This system is reserved for medical professionals.
John Thie, also a chiropractor, simplifies and popularizes some of these discoveries: thus was created the "Touch for Health" based on manual muscle tests to assess muscle tone. This technic serves as the basis for most other kinesiology's branches.
Principle
Kinesiology uses the muscle test as a bio-feedback instrument that allows us to know the physiological response of our body to a physical, emotional, mental, nutritional stimulus, etc.
Through the muscle test, the kinesiologist doesn't communicate with the conscious mind but with the consciousness of the body and its cellular memory. During a Kinesiology session, the kinesiologist uses muscle tests to:
-
highlight energy imbalances and stresses
-
specify its nature and origin as well as the emotional and mental states associated with them
-
determine the nature of the corrections
-
verify the effectiveness of these corrections
The goal of Kinesiology is to deactivate physical or emotional blockages to allow the person to use his/her full potential.
How ?
When to see a kinesiologist ?
Some concrete examples :
-
Burn-out situations
-
Addictions and phobias
-
Life change
-
Sport conditioning
-
Childbirth preparation
-
Personal growth
-
Stress
-
Sleep disorder
-
Muscle pain and tensions
-
Emotional management
-
Learning difficulties at school
A kinesiologist have to be certified
Kinesiology cannot be improvised. To become a kinesiologist and obtain a certificate, you need a minimum of 700 hours of professional training, provided by a school recognized by the International Kinesiology College (such as the IBK where I trained).
My career path
The progress of a Kinesiology session :
A Kinesiology session takes place in 5 steps :
-
the kinesiologist and the client take a time to determine the session's objective based on the priority needs
-
the kinesiologist identifies imbalances, their nature, their origin and the associated mental and emotional loads
-
the kinesiologist identifies the appropriate balances
-
the kinesiologist checks the effectiveness of these balances and explains them to the client
-
in agreement with the client, a work of growth can be proposed.
